The word "Sauvignon" is believed to be derived from the French sauvage meaning "wild" and historians believe that this grape variety is one of the major "wild" grapes used for wine in ancient Rome. We make this particular Grappa (rakia, ракия, rakija, tsipouro) from wine in colaboration with Boston Winery.
We were happy enough to meet the managers at Boston Winery- Brandon and Ralph, two young, tallented, creative and passionate vinters. They gave us the idea for this Grappa (rakia, ракия), and it turned out to be really great.
It's has a silky, elegant and full-bodied taste that carries the well balanced classic profile of Boston Winery's Cabernet Sauvignon wine.
